Goldena Courgette Seeds

An open-pollinated yellow variety from the Czech Republic. The young fruit is light to medium yellow in colour, with light white markings and is slightly shiny. The mature fruit is light to medium orange in colour, cylindrical, medium to long in size.

Cultivation: Sow the seeds in pots in March or April, and pot off singly as soon as large enough. At the end of May plant out where they are to remain. If beds are prepared for them (as recommended for ridge cucumbers, but with more spaces for the vines to ramble) the produce will be of better quality than from beds of common soil. Nevertheless, a hillock of any sort, whether of mere clay or a mixture of leaves, loam and manure, will suit them, and on such a hillock the seeds may be sown in the middle of May.

The Sandringham Seed Collection: Thomas Etty Seeds started in Kent in the 1980s and have been providing Sandringham with various heritage seed mixes for some years. The Head Gardener has collaborated with the company to provide a collection of seeds from plants grown in the gardens. Now you can grow your very own Sandringham Garden!
